Relevant Canadian next steps

Choose your province or let MapleVow suggest it from the saved wedding location and timezone. The checklist adjusts the visible ID and health-card reminders while keeping Canada-wide steps together.

  • Marriage certificate and CRA reminders
  • Province-aware ID and health-card tasks
  • Driver’s licence and address checks

Name changes without guesswork

Select whether you are keeping your name, assuming a spouse’s surname, using a hyphenated name, or completing a legal change. MapleVow then hides steps that do not apply to that path.

  • Four common name paths
  • Government and personal-record reminders
  • Change your selection at any time

Progress you can keep

Mark tasks as to do, in progress, or done, save private notes, and export the visible checklist to CSV when you want an offline record.

  • Compact progress view
  • Private notes and completion dates
  • Safe CSV export

Appears when the wedding date has passed

After the saved wedding date, the checklist appears in the “Where you are” guidance on the couple dashboard alongside photo review and guest-list export. It stays connected to the wedding instead of becoming another separate app or spreadsheet.

Guidance, not government submission

MapleVow organizes general reminders and links to relevant official information. It does not submit changes to government agencies and does not provide legal, tax, or immigration advice. Couples should confirm current requirements with the responsible agency or a qualified professional.

After-wedding checklist questions

Does MapleVow automatically choose my province?

When no province has been saved, MapleVow can suggest one from the wedding venue or address and then use the wedding timezone as a fallback. You can always change the selection.

Can I export the checklist?

Yes. Premium and Planner users can export the currently visible checklist, statuses, completion dates, and notes to CSV.

Does MapleVow submit name or marital-status changes for me?

No. MapleVow provides an organizational checklist only. You remain responsible for confirming requirements and completing updates with each organization.

Which plans include the full checklist?

The full interactive checklist is included with Premium and Planner. Free and Essential accounts can view a limited preview.
