Text your guests: SMS consent and sending

Text messages are a great way to reach guests who miss emails. MapleVow sends each guest a short text with their personal RSVP link.

How to do it

  1. Add a mobile number for the guest in your Guest list and confirm SMS consent (the guest agreed to get texts about your wedding).
  2. Open SMS in your dashboard. The first time, verify your own phone number. It is a one-time check.
  3. Use Auto-send RSVP to guests to text everyone who has not answered yet in one click, or Send a custom message for an update such as parking or timing.
  4. To text one guest, open them in your Guest list and click Text.

Credits

Each text uses SMS credits: a short message costs 1 credit per guest, and a longer one costs 2. The SMS page shows the cost before you send. Some plans include credits and you can buy more from Billing.

Consent and opting out

Texts only go to guests with SMS consent. A guest can reply STOP at any time to stop all texts, and that cannot be undone by the couple.

Automatic texts

You can also pick SMS as a channel on the Invitations page, so invitations and follow-ups go out by text automatically.

Good to know

  • Guests who already received your RSVP text are skipped, so you are not charged twice.
  • Texts are for wedding messages only, not marketing.
